Here are some processes our installers adhere to make sure your project will be done right and on time. Guidelines regarding voice cabling installation:

• With voice cabling, we install it cleanly and efficiently, making it easy for future maintenance. We don't use any supplemental such as plumbing or HVAC structures. The cabling should not get in the way of panels, switches or other systems.
• The cables need to be at least one foot away from florescent lights. Any other electrical sources, the cables should be at least four feet away. That includes generators and motors.
• Voice cable installation that is done in the ceiling are to have cable trays to do the work. Or the installation will need to work where the cable is tied snugly on top of the ceiling.
• The installer will test twisted pair cable and it must be up to the current standards of the industry. It must also be compliant with the latest specifications. The same thing goes for any fiber optic cable. The results must be published in the installation manual.
• The voice twisted pair station cable should be identified with labels and it must be legible so people will be able to identify it.
• During the voice cabling installation, the cable must be cut down in chronological order.
• Add an additional 10 feet of cable in the event it is needed for future projects. The cable must loop around and protected above the ceiling. Or it can be placed under the floor.
• The voice distribution cables are to be placed in pairs of 100. With this set of 100 pair cables, make sure that they have been checked to be in compliance with fire and safety regulations.
• With these cables in 100 pairs, they need to include four binders that are comprised of 25 pairs. Each 25-pair set is to be color coded so there won't be any confusion.

As the work comes to completion, the cable installer is required to have drawings and other backup information as a record of the voice cabling installation. They must include every piece of pertinent information that is related to the installation. This information must include a labeling system that other technicians can relate to should the need arise for repairs.
